There are some nice things about having JGM as my landlord. They make available to their tenants tickets for the Vikings, Timberwolves, Wild and even the Saints. There are get togethers a couple of times a year allowing you to socialize or network with the other people who are tenants. They even have a condo in Florida that you can use for a week each year if you want to take advantage of that. There are even gift certificates and other rewards given out for referrals. I have never had a property management company that offered so many free perks to their tenants, and all in all that is very nice, but it is not the reason I am glad to be leasing from JGM. The reason I rent from JGM; why I comfortably refer friends and fellow business owners to JGM; why I continue to lease from JGM; is because of the owner himself. Jay Mutschler answers the phone. I have a question, concern, problem, I make a call and I speak with Jay himself. This is huge for me! As the manager of a company I know how important it is for a customer to be able to reach me. That may be minor to a lot of people, but I like knowing I am not just dealing with a corporate entity but rather the individual that listens to my needs and addresses them. I get that with Jay the “hands on” style of ownership is too uncommon these days and I appreciate it when I find an instance where such is not the case in my business operation. As I said, it is the number one reason that I continue having JGM meet my business needs (of course, in January, that condo in Florida is pretty nice as well!).

We love our office space! Two years ago we needed more space. We expanded our existing space with JGM Properties building out to meet our custom floor plan—complete with angles, windows, sliding glass office doors, kitchenette, and hardwood flooring. We shopped around first, just to compare, but no one else came close to matching the amount and quality of space for the price.

We have leased office space from JGM Properties for over 11 years. The flexibility and value they have offered us over that time has been fantastic. Hudson Records Company is the holding entity for Nuttyboyz Entertainment Group, Inc. (NBEG). NBEG is in the music recording industry. Our marketing research disclosed that if the physical facilities were present, well established musical artists from all around the world would rather come to the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota area than the traditional music cities (Los Angeles, Nashville, & New York City) to develop their musical products.

For our company to compete in capturing these great opportunities, NBEG needed a great location and a building with outstanding amenities. These amenities needed to include and attractive and secured lobby, large modern elevators, clean bathrooms, and a willingness of the landlord to allow the unique construction of recording studios in their mix of upscale tenants. For our operation, the list of desirables also included a minimum of 7,500 square feet of rentable space that could be specifically adapted to our unique and demanding specifications. JGM Commercial Property managers introduced us to their architect and construction supervisor and, thereafter, assisted us in every aspect of developing our commercial space no into our leasehold but, “into our dream home!” One of our smartest decisions in this multi-million dollar project was selecting JGM to serve as our general contractor. JGM was willing to take the time to listen to our specific desires and to hire the subcontractors possessing the skills to achieve our exact specifications. For example, our recording studios are constructed with triple thick walls separated with three independent sound barriers enwrapping all four walls as well as the floor and ceilings. Our recording studios as well as our control rooms are all sound proof. Best of all, our project came in on time and within budget. The clients of NBEG are astounded with our facilities.
